Affiliate Marketing Network - Bulls Eye

The publisher’s web site has suddenly become a valuable asset and different agencies are trying to lure the web site owners.

I can see the tug of war between affiliate marketing networks and advertising networks in the online industry. The publisher’s web site has suddenly become a valuable asset and different agencies are trying to lure the web site owners. There is a reason to give a green signal to affiliate marketing network.

You know, the major issue that worries all small and big online advertising players is the efficacy of online advertisement program. Since there are hundreds and thousands of pages where advertisements are to be placed, they have come up with different automated services. An online advertisement would be affective on the right page. It is same as saying that the right advertisement put before the right audience can enhance the efficiency of the program.

As of now, the automated services have not been entirely successful in placing relevant ads on certain pages. In case of affiliate marketing, the networks ensure that such a thing does not happen with the affiliate. The wrong ad, say that of jackets if put on the web site with content on trendy watches, won’t bear anything either to the advertiser or the one who advertises.

Affiliate marketing also has different models for display advertising, lead generations and for sales. The program may be customized to help the publisher and affiliate get better results.

I personally won’t advise anyone to go for advertising, unless they are fairly paid. Thousand impressions for a couple of dollars do not make sense in many ways. Although some web sites with good traffic may be able top generate great money, but for web sites that have average or lesser number of visitors advertising is a bad choice.

Affiliate Marketing Network – The Eye Opener

How can we check the credibility of an affiliate network? This question may have troubled the site owners time and again. We do not have much in our hands as entries in databases are vague and on Internet information regarding the same is not much of a help.

I have some suggestions which I think are worth sharing. One of the parameters can be the services. Affiliate networks may be providing different services and cater to different verticals. One of my findings has been that services providers who are also related with online advertising have a sound footing in the industry.

The second parameter can be the relevant experience and that too with different marketplaces. Affiliate marketing networks that operate in more than one given country have more exposure of the industry and the concerns.

The third parameter can be solutions provided and the technologies used by the network. The networks that provided advanced tracking systems and tools provide better services than others.

One way to find the good ones in the industry is read the blogs of the marketers. There are numerous blogs on the subject. Read testimonials and reviews of the marketers. Reputed affiliate networks also participate in industry events like seminars, convocations and conferences.

If you are still in doubt you can prepare a list of questions and have a verbal communication with the network. Such a personal communication lets you know as where the organization stands and what you will be having at the end of the day.

On web you will find a number of articles and write ups describing the pros and cons of the services of reputed affiliate networks. There is a scarcity of data, but the little we have may be a real eye opener.

Affiliate Marketing Network must Strike a Deal

About: Affiliate marketing is going a little off-track with intermediaries stepping in. There is still time to check against them and install measures for the same.

With residual income and referrals, affiliates are turning out to be providing intermediary services themselves rather than promote or sell the products of the merchants. Is it possible? Yes, very much possible.

Some affiliate marketers have started hiring people for affiliate programs that they themselves have registered to. In industry the second level marketers are known by the name sub affiliates. The role of affiliates in such cases has changed from active participation to supervisory. They sign up with the advertisers, get the work and get it done by others.

Affiliate networks do something similar. In addition the networks provide other services like tracking, managing of accounts, payment distribution, etc. On the other hand affiliates just take a minor portion of commissions and help web site publishers to get the best deals in the industry.

With this practice the affiliates do not even need a web site or resource of their own. They simple pass on the assignments to others or just make others to join the affiliate program. At present there are few regulatory processes as what is allowed and what is not allowed in the affiliate marketing process once an affiliate signs up with the merchant or trader.

One of the advantages of affiliate marketing, especially for e-retailers, is that it averts the intermediaries in the supply and demand process. By directly reaching to the audience, the merchants have to just ship the products. With intermediaries emerging in the affiliate marketing industry itself, the advantage might lose its significance.

The merchants and networks need to encourage best practices in the industry and push for restrictions against any undue and unethical one. There is still time to impose the restrictions and put forth some concrete measures.

Affiliate Marketing – The Magic Inside

The blog endorses the efforts of affiliate marketers to sell products to the Internet users. It also tends to highlight the skills of an affiliate marketer.

Education has become too expensive. It does not need a genius to work out on the bills – the admission fees, the spending on the resources, examination fee, books, library, Internet, etc. Think - all that effort just to prove that you are a marketing genius. It is no good.

On the other hand, make a web site, promote it and apply your brains and you are a marketing bigwig making thousand odd pounds a month. It is affiliate marketing and you are most welcome.

Web site publishers market the products and services of merchants and service providers. If they get lucky, which has a lot to do with their natural ability, they are among the leading marketing professionals in the world. No certification, no accreditation, no examination but plain marketing.

Affiliate marketers do have a bent of mind; one that is towards the creative side. When I see how web site owners sell products on their sites I can’t but help appreciating them. There is a difference between oral communication and communication involving a medium or channel. In the latter you have to convince the user with just images, information and text. The user cannot see you; neither can you see the visitor. It happens in a jiffy. However, there is a lot that is deliberated in the few seconds during which the visitor on the site makes up the decision.

Affiliate marketing requires the skill to involve people in the communication; the skill to motivate the customers to click on the button, the skill to plan for a possible confrontation, marketing skills, skills of an efficient sales representative, etc. Add to this the increased awareness of the virtual world – the Internet and the networking.

Affiliate marketers have every right to claim the title “The elite in Marketing”. They deliver to the business the results no one else can. Affiliates are the architects of their own destiny. In cyber business, it is them and the business.
